Sharpena is a school management platform for schools, staff, students, parents, guardians, and approved platform users. It brings school operations, academic records, attendance, learning tools, communications, and reporting into one service.
By using Sharpena, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you use Sharpena for a school, you confirm that you are authorised to act for that school within your assigned role.
Sharpena may be used only by authorised schools and their approved users.

- Ensuring its users follow school policy and applicable requirements
Users must keep their login credentials secure, must not share accounts, and must promptly report suspected unauthorised access. Sharpena may use security controls, including session controls and audit logging, to protect accounts and records.
Access is based on a user's role and assigned permissions. Teachers may access their assigned classes. Parents and guardians may access students linked to them by the school. Students may access only their own authorised records. School leaders may access school-level records within their school.
You must use Sharpena for legitimate school-related purposes. You must not do any of the following:
- Access records you are not authorised to view
- Attempt to bypass security or role controls
- Upload harmful, unlawful, or inappropriate files
- Harass, threaten, or misuse messaging with other users
- Interfere with the platform or another user's use of it
- Use Sharpena for unlawful purposes
Schools own or control their school records, including student records, attendance, grades, report cards, transcripts, learning content, and school communications. Sharpena provides the platform used to process and display that information for authorised school purposes.
Sharpena uses student and parent or guardian information only to provide school management services, role-based access, and authorised school communications. Access is limited by the school, role assignments, and verified family links.
Sharpena messaging and announcements are for school-related communication. Schools may monitor, retain, or audit communications according to their own policies and applicable requirements.
Sharpena records and displays information supplied or approved by a school. Schools remain responsible for reviewing, confirming, and issuing official academic records, including grades, attendance, report cards, and transcripts.
Teachers may create assignments, quizzes, resources, and learning activities. Students may submit work through authorised school spaces. Schools are responsible for their learning content and the way it is assessed.
Users are responsible for the content they upload. Files must not be harmful, unlawful, infringing, or inappropriate for a school environment.
Sharpena may update, improve, maintain, or temporarily suspend features to protect the service, address security needs, or improve performance. We will aim to limit disruption where reasonably practical.
School subscription terms, fees, renewal, cancellation, and payment arrangements may be governed by a separate agreement or order form.
Sharpena owns the platform, software, design, and branding. Schools retain their own data and uploaded school content, subject to the rights needed to operate and support the service.
Our collection and use of personal information is described in the Sharpena Privacy Policy.
Sharpena or a school may suspend or remove an account that violates these terms, creates a security or safety risk, or is no longer authorised to use the platform.
Sharpena is provided to support school operations. Schools remain responsible for reviewing and validating official records, school decisions, and communications before relying on them as official.
Any limitation of liability will be set out in the final service agreement to the extent permitted by applicable law.
These terms are intended to be governed by the laws applicable to the service provider and customer agreement. Final governing-law language will be set out in the applicable agreement.
